Solar / renewable energy in Jamaica account for about seven percent of Jamaican energy usage with the remaining 93% from fossil.

There are a number of companies in Jamaica who are involved in renewable energy on a large scale.

They are Content Solar Farm in Clarendon, Wigton Wind Farm in Manchester and the Jamaica Public sService which operates a number of Hydro-Electric Power Plants.

These entities supply clean energy to the national electric grid at a competitive price.

The jamaica Master Electricians Alliance Has Solar / renewable energy professionals across Jamaica and the Caribbean; the personnels consist of Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Registered Electricians, Licensed Electrical Inspectors, Solar installers and solar/renewable energy consultants.
